Information

Welcome to The Chrysalis Community, Carriage House Birth’s virtual village for people moving through the transformation of pregnancy.

Pregnancy today comes with an overwhelming amount of information, opinions, and conflicting advice. This group is designed as a steady, grounding space to help you sort through it all with clarity, context, and real-world guidance from experienced birth workers.

Pregnancy is a season of becoming. Like a chrysalis, so much of the work is happening beneath the surface physically, emotionally, mentally, and relationally. You don’t have to navigate those changes alone.

This is an ongoing virtual Pregnancy Support Group within the Carriage House Birth community. Rather than a fixed course with a beginning and end, this is a continuing weekly gathering space designed to support you throughout pregnancy as questions arise, decisions unfold, and your birth approaches.

Drawing on evidence-based education, years of birth work experience, and the lived realities of growing families, we aim to bring calm, clarity, and confidence to the pregnancy journey while normalizing birth as a human physiological process.

Each session blends education, discussion, and open Q&A, shaped by the needs of the group.

Topics may include but are not limited to:

+ Stages of pregnancy and what to expect physically and emotionally

+ Early pregnancy changes, common discomforts, and when to seek support

+ Choosing and navigating care providers and birth settings

+ Understanding common tests, screenings, and interventions

+ Preparing for labor: signs, timing, and when to go in

+ Birth preferences and decision-making in real time

+ Pain coping strategies and comfort measures for labor

+ Partner and support person roles

+ Anxiety, fear, and managing uncertainty in pregnancy

+ Preparing for postpartum recovery and transition

+ What to pack, plan, and consider as birth approaches

This is a space for both education and connection a place to ask questions as they come up, hear from others walking a similar path, and stay anchored in evidence-based information and supportive community.

Registration Includes:
+ Access to weekly virtual pregnancy support group sessions

Testimonials

"I really love having a weekly touch base - it makes me feel like I am part of a community and not alone on what can otherwise be a pretty lonely journey. I am also learning a ton, which makes me feel a little bit more prepared/capable for labor/birth." - Elana

"The support group has been wonderful. ❤️" - Katie

"I have so much appreciation for Carriage House! I’ve been attending the pregnancy support group for 12 weeks now and plan to continue with the next session. The community holding has meant so much to me during my pregnancy. Domino is lovely, and she’s truly gifted at creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive community environment. She was also the teacher for the child birth education class my husband and I attended in New Paltz, which was excellent! I’m so grateful to have found Carriage House during my pregnancy." - Olivia
