Preparing for labor goes beyond just knowing what to expect, it’s about having practical, hands-on techniques to help you cope with intensity and find comfort throughout the process.

Our Comfort Measures for Labor class is designed for expecting parents and their birth partners who want to build confidence and learn physical and emotional support strategies for labor and birth.

In this two-hour session, we’ll cover:
+ Breathing techniques to stay grounded and focused
+ Hands-on comfort measures such as massage, counter-pressure, and acupressure
+ Positioning and movement to encourage progress and ease discomfort
+ Partner support strategies for active and engaged birth support
+ The role of relaxation and mindset in labor

This class is ideal for all birth settings hospital, home, or birth center and works as a great complement to any childbirth education class. Come solo or bring your birth partner for a hands-on, empowering experience!

Lindsey Bliss

Lindsey Bliss is a seasoned birth doula, a childbirth educator, co-founder of Carriage House Birth, and the mother of seven. Lindsey is considered to be a multiples expert after giving birth to two consecutive sets of twins. She is the author of The Doula’s Guide to Empowering Your Birth. Lindsey has been practicing since 2009 and has supported first time parents, multiparas, single parents, LGBTQIA+ families, twin births, medicated and non-medicated vaginal births, cesarean births, and VBACs.
