CERTIFICATION PATHWAY FOR TRAINED BIRTH DOULAS

Thursday, December 12th, 2024 - Sunday, December 15th, 2024 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST
$499 per person
Information

This course is designed for trained doulas whose certification has lapsed or are looking to gain a lifetime certification and to continue supporting birthing families. A collaboration between Carriage House Birth, Woven Bodies, and Dorcas Davis Consulting, our 4-day program offers the same comprehensive training and essential information, now tailored for those who have already completed their initial doula training.

Because you’re already trained, the post-certification requirements will be adjusted, and we’re offering this at a more affordable price point to make it as accessible as possible.

We’ll revisit the medical knowledge critical to birthwork, this program also digs deeper into areas like bias, privilege, race, and inequalities that intersect the birthing process.

Training Topics

Here’s a sample of the essential topics we’ll revisit over the course of 4 days:

+ History of American Obstetrics and Midwifery Care

+ Anatomy and Physiology of Birth

+ High Risk Pregnancies and Interventions

+ Antiracism Workshop with Dorcas Davis Consulting

+ LGBTQIA+ Workshop with Woven Bodies

+ Comfort Techniques

+ Your Doula Bag

+ Building Your Doula Business

+ Postpartum Support

Certification Pathway Details

We’re offering this certification at a reduced rate of $499 for trained doulas whose certifications have lapsed, or for those who attended a previous training but were unable to meet certification deadlines. This course is an opportunity to renew your certification and continue your work with confidence and compassion.

Please note that due to the significant resources involved in providing this training, we do not offer refunds for cancellations. However, a one-time deferment may be granted. If you need a deferment, please contact us at info@carriagehousebirth.com.
